Cookie Policy
Dear Visitor (hereinafter, “You” or the “User”), the undersigned Company ENERGEE4 S.R.L. (VAT No. 02143630354), represented by its Legal Representative, with registered office at Viale Monte Grappa 20/A, 42121 Reggio Emilia (RE), contact details: email info@energee4.com – PEC energee4@registerpec.it – tel. 0522/455141 – fax 0522/451382, owner of the website https://www.energee4.ai/ (hereinafter, the “Site”), as data controller of the personal data of the users of the Site (hereinafter, the “Users”) provides the following privacy policy pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (hereinafter “Regulation”, or the “Applicable Legislation”).
Since our Site uses cookies for various purposes, this policy (hereinafter, the “Cookie Policy”) explains what cookies are and how they are used on the Site.
Some cookies (so-called “first-party” cookies) are sent and controlled directly by us. Through these cookies, the Data Controller collects and processes certain personal data about you. In this Cookie Policy, pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data (hereinafter, the “Regulation”), we explain how we collect this data, for what purposes, and what your rights are.
Other cookies (so-called “third-party” cookies) are sent and controlled by third parties. In this Cookie Policy you will find links to the policies published by these third parties, which we ask you to read carefully.
If you are unfamiliar with cookies, please read this Cookie Policy and the Site’s general Privacy Policy carefully so you can be aware of your choices.
The company is in the process of appointing a Data Protection Officer (DPO), pursuant to Article 37 of the GDPR.
The Data Controller takes the right to privacy and the protection of its Users’ personal data very seriously. For any information regarding this Cookie Policy, Users may contact the Data Controller at any time by sending an email:

1. What are cookies and what are they used for
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by a user send directly to their terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the same websites the next time the same user visits them (so-called first-party cookies). While browsing a website, a user may also receive cookies from different websites or web servers (so-called third-party cookies). This happens because the website visited may contain elements such as images, maps, sounds, or specific links to web pages on other domains that reside on servers other than the one hosting the requested page. In other words, these are cookies that are set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting.
Cookies may be limited to a single browser session (so-called session cookies), in which case they are automatically deactivated when the user closes the browser; or they may have a predetermined expiration date, in which case they will remain stored and active on your hard drive until that expiration date, continuing to collect information during different browser sessions (so-called permanent cookies).
Cookies are used for various functions. Some are necessary to allow you to navigate the Site and use its features (so-called technical cookies). Others are used to obtain statistical information, in aggregate or non-aggregate form, on the number of users accessing the Site and how the Site is used (so-called analytics cookies). Finally, others are used to track your consumer profile and display advertisements on the Site that may be of interest to you, as they are consistent with your tastes and consumer habits (so-called profiling cookies).
To learn more about these different categories of cookies, continue reading this Cookie Policy. Learn how they work and what they’re used for, and freely choose whether to consent to their use or prevent it.
2. Technical cookies
Technical cookies are used on the Site for the sole purpose of enabling your navigation on the Site and allowing you to use its features. These are always first-party cookies, as they are delivered directly to the Site by us.
Some technical cookies are essential to offer you an optimal browsing experience or to allow you to authenticate yourself on the site, for example, to make a purchase on the Site or access your personal area (so-called navigation cookies). Navigation cookies are normally session cookies and, therefore, are automatically deactivated once the browser is closed.
Other technical cookies are useful for allowing you to store some of your preferences (for example, your language or country of origin) without having to reset them during subsequent visits (so-called functionality cookies). For this reason, functionality cookies are often persistent cookies, as they remain stored on your computer even after you close your browser, until their set expiration date or until you decide to delete them.
The following technical cookies are currently used on the Site:
| Cookie | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| cookieyes-consent | 1 year | CookieYes uses this cookie to remember users’ consent preferences so that they are respected on future visits to this site. It does not collect or store any personal information about site visitors. |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports | session | WordPress sets this cookie when a user interacts with emojis on a WordPress site. Helps determine whether the user’s browser can display emojis correctly. |
| VISITOR_PRIVACY_METADATA | 6 months | YouTube sets this cookie to store the user’s cookie consent state for the current domain. |
As required by current privacy legislation, your prior consent is not required for the installation of these cookies. You are, of course, free to block the installation of technical cookies by changing your browser settings (see Section E, No. 1 for how to do so). However, please note that by blocking the installation of technical cookies, or subsequently deleting them, you may be unable to access the Site, use it in whole or in part, enable or disable certain features, or receive certain services.
3. Tracking or analytics cookies
Analytics cookies are used on the Site to collect statistical information, in aggregate or otherwise, on the number of users accessing the Site and how they use it.
The analytics cookies on this Site are third-party cookies, as they are not directly sent by us, but by third parties. Therefore, they are not installed directly by the Data Controller, but by third parties.
The following third-party analytics cookies are installed on the Site without your prior consent because they are less intrusive and anonymous, as third parties cannot access disaggregated analytics data at the IP address level (in other words, by using these cookies, third parties cannot trace your identity):
NO COOKIES USED
Other third-party analytics cookies, however, are installed on the Site only with your prior consent, because they are not anonymized, allowing third parties to access disaggregated analytics data at the IP address level (in other words, by using these cookies, third parties could theoretically trace your identity through your IP address):
| Cookie | Duration | Description |
|---|---|---|
| __Secure-YNID | 6 months | Youtube uses this cookie to monitor views of videos embedded in YouTube pages. |
| __Secure-ROLLOUT_TOKEN | 6 months | Youtube uses this cookie to track views of videos embedded in YouTube pages. |
| __Secure-YEC | previous | Youtube uses this cookie to track views of videos embedded in YouTube pages. |
| YSC | session | Youtube uses this cookie to track views of videos embedded in YouTube pages. |
For this reason, when you access the Site, a special banner is prominently displayed, informing you that (i) third-party analytics cookies are used on the Site and that (ii) by closing the banner, scrolling the home page, or clicking any element of the home page outside the banner, you consent to the use of cookies. If you consent to the installation of cookies using this method, we will track your consent using a dedicated technical cookie. This way, we will prevent the cookie banner from appearing on your subsequent visits to the Site.
Please note that if you delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in paragraph E, no. 1, below, your consent will be lost, and therefore, the cookie banner will be displayed again on your next visit to the Site.
Of course, you are free to block the installation of analytics cookies at any time, without compromising your ability to visit the Site and enjoy its content in any way. To learn how, carefully read the third-party cookie policies by following the links in the table above.
4. Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are used to create a user profile based on the preferences and tastes you demonstrate while browsing the Internet, and to display advertising messages consistent with your profile. This way, the advertising messages you see on our Site will be more relevant to you.
As required by applicable privacy legislation, your prior consent is required to install these cookies. For this reason, when you access the Site, a special banner is prominently displayed, informing you that (i) profiling cookies are used on the Site and that (ii) by closing the banner, scrolling the home page, or clicking any element on the home page outside the banner, you consent to the use of cookies. Should you consent to the installation of cookies in this way, we will track your consent using a dedicated technical cookie. This way, we will avoid displaying the cookie banner during your subsequent visits to the Site. Please note that if you delete this technical cookie from your browser using the methods described in paragraph E, no. 1 below, your consent will be lost, and therefore, the cookie banner will be displayed again during your next visit to the Site.
You are, of course, free to block the installation of profiling cookies at any time, without compromising your ability to visit the Site and enjoy its content in any way. If you decide to disable behavioral advertising, this does not mean you will no longer receive advertising on the Site. However, the banners you see on the Site may not reflect your interests or preferences on the browser you are currently using.
Some profiling cookies are installed directly by the Data Controller (first-party profiling cookies). These cookies are permanent and have a maximum duration of 12 months. Below is a list of first-party profiling cookies used on the Site, along with instructions on how you can opt out of their installation:
NO COOKIES USED
To disable these profiling cookies, change your browser settings (see Section E, No. 1) or use the convenient interactive button found in the bottom bar (if you have not yet clicked “ACCEPT” or “REJECT”) or on the left side of the page.
By using the interactive button to block first-party profiling cookies, you will still receive a technical cookie to store your preference. Please note that deleting all cookies from your browser may also remove this technical cookie, and therefore, you may need to re-express your choice to block these cookies using the interactive button in this Cookie Policy.
Most profiling cookies are installed by third parties, who act as independent data controllers (third-party cookies). Here is a list of third-party profiling cookies currently used on the Site, along with links to the information pages created by their developers:
NO COOKIES USED
Some third-party cookies are installed by parties with whom we do not have a direct contractual relationship. For this reason, we provide links below to the websites of the parties acting as intermediaries between us and these third parties. These links provide (i) a list of third parties that install profiling cookies on the Site and (ii) links to the privacy policies of these third parties, which provide all the necessary information about their profiling cookies and how to opt out of their installation.
NO COOKIES USED
Please note that by logging in to the Site using your social network credentials, you will receive third-party cookies from the operator of that social network. These cookies typically allow you to authenticate to the Site and also serve profiling purposes. Before logging in using the social network buttons, please carefully read the Cookie Policy provided by the social network operators regarding the use of these cookies. If you do not wish to receive these cookies, log in to the Site as usual without using the social network buttons. Here is a list of the social network cookies used on the Site, along with links to the information pages created by their owners:

5. How to manage cookies and object to their use
There are several options for managing, disabling, and deleting cookies.
(1) Change your browser settings
Follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of your browser to find out how to manage, disable, or delete all cookies (technical, analytics, and profiling).
Make your choices carefully. By indiscriminately blocking the receipt of all cookies, including technical cookies, without specifically allowing for the Site, you may no longer be able to navigate the Site or use all or part of its features. Furthermore, by deleting all cookies from your browser, technical cookies may also be removed, and therefore, you may lose the preferences you’ve set using the Site or no longer find the products or services in your shopping cart.
(2) Use our interactive tools or those provided by third parties
To disable first-party profiling cookies, i.e., those installed directly by us, you can simply use the interactive button prominently displayed in Section D of this Cookie Policy. Your choice to object to the use of these cookies will not affect your ability to browse the Site and use its features, and you may revoke it at any time using the same interactive button.
To disable third-party cookies, consult the privacy policies of third parties that install analytics cookies (see paragraph C above) or profiling cookies (see paragraph D above) to learn about other tools available to you for managing, disabling, and deleting cookies, and more generally for objecting to their use. Remember that by disabling third-party cookies, (i) you object to their use not only on the Site but on all websites where such cookies are used, and (ii) your ability to browse the Site and use its features will not be affected in any way. When you disable third-party cookies, you will still see the banner on the Site’s home page relating to cookies; in this case, however, by closing the banner, scrolling the home page, or clicking any element on the home page outside the banner, you will not receive any third-party cookies that you have correctly disabled.
(3) Use the website www.youronlinechoices.eu/it/
Your Online Choices is a website managed by the non-profit association European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA), the Italian version of which can be found at www.youronlinechoices.eu/it/, which provides information on behavioral advertising based on profiling cookies (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/a-proposito) and allows Internet users to easily opt out. (opt-out) of the installation of the main profiling cookies installed by advertising operators and used on Internet sites (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/le-tue-scelte). Before using this tool, We recommend that you carefully read the Your Online Choices website’s terms and conditions (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/condizioni-generali-di-servizio), the frequently asked questions (FAQ) (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/faqs), and the user guide (http://www.youronlinechoices.com/it/help).
Please use Your Online Choices wisely. Although Your Online Choices brings together many of the world’s leading advertising companies that use cookies, some of the third parties that install cookies through the Site may not have joined Your Online Choices. Therefore, using Your Online Choices does not guarantee that you will receive third-party cookies when browsing the Site. Please also remember that by deleting all cookies from your browser, the technical cookies set by Your Online Choices to remember your choices may also be deleted, reactivating third-party cookies.
6. Data processing methods and retention periods
As highlighted in the introduction to this Cookie Policy, the Data Controller collects and processes some of your personal data through the cookies it transmits directly on the Site (first-party cookies). The Data Controller acts as the data controller of this data, in accordance with the provisions of the Regulation. We will process your data only using electronic means, in a fully automated manner, and without human intervention. Therefore, our employees and collaborators will never access the content of your personal data obtained through cookies, which means they will never be able to access and/or obtain directly personally identifiable information (PII).
Some of our employees and collaborators, appointed by us as data processors, may perform maintenance on the IT systems hosting your data, without ever being able to access their actual content. Personal data may be stored on servers operated by third parties (e.g., IT system providers) or may be managed by entities specializing in online advertising, acting as external data processors based on a specific written appointment by the Data Controller. We inform you that, in compliance with the requirements and guarantees established by the Regulation, your data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area, which may not offer a level of privacy and personal data protection comparable to that guaranteed by Italian and European privacy laws. However, as the data controller, we take data security seriously and will therefore handle such transfers with all due caution and safeguards. Your personal data will not be disclosed to third-party data controllers or disseminated.
